Why we Started Future Rock Music

When our two boys started to play instruments, we realised just how powerful music can be for building confidence and social skills. It inspired me to create Future Rock Music  a safe, fun and creative space where young people can learn how to play music, make friends and experience what it feels like to be in a band..

School Full Day 

Designed in line with the KS1 and KS2 curriculum, these full-day music workshops inspire creativity, self-expression, and a love of music.
Through a mix of practical music-making, rhythm games, and performance projects, children build skills and confidence while having fun.

What’s Included

  • Tailored music lessons for the National Curriculum KS1 & KS2 pupils
  • Opportunities for group performance and creative projects 
  • Flexible structure to fit your school timetable
  • Up to 6 sessions can be delivered throughout a full day, adapted to class sizes
     

Workshop Options 

  • Half Day
     
  • Full Day 


(The final hour, 3:30–4:30 pm, can be used as an after-school music club if your school wishes.)
 

Block bookings are also available for schools looking to run a program of sessions.
The day is tailored to the number of pupils and the space you have available.

About Me

Music has been at the heart of my life for over 30 years. As a professional guitarist and performer, I’ve been fortunate to turn my passion into a career, playing in venues across the UK and Europe. From luxury hotels such as the Four Seasons in Geneva to vibrant festivals and live music venues, music has taken me on an incredible journey.

Over the years, I’ve developed a wide range of skills, drawing on influences from rock, acoustic, and electric styles. My experiences living and performing in Italy, touring with tribute bands, and playing at countless festivals, have shaped my style and taught me the confidence, resilience, and joy that live music can bring.

Future Rock Music was born from a simple idea: to pass on that joy to the next generation. Inspired by my two boys picking up instruments, I wanted to create a space where young people can learn, play, and experience the buzz of being in a band. Through Future Rock, I share my skills, encourage creativity, and build confidence by getting young musicians making music together.

I believe the best way to learn is to connect with the music you love. That’s why every session is shaped around the styles and songs that excite you, making practice fun and progress natural.

Alongside teaching, I continue to perform, working with bands such as Foo Fakers and Nirvanot, and appearing regularly at festivals and venues including:

Whether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time or looking to improve your skills, these lessons are designed to help you grow as a musician.

I offer friendly, engaging lessons on both acoustic and electric guitar, tailored to your age, ability, and musical taste.

  • Individual Lessons - 30 minutes per session / £25 per lesson
    Booked in blocks of 6 (to ensure progress and consistency)
     
  • Joint Lessons for Siblings / 30 minutes per session /£30 per lesson
    Must be booked in blocks of 6 (to ensure progress and consistency)
     

Travel Area & Fees

Lessons are based in BA7 (Castle Cary / Bruton area).

Within 10 miles of BA7: Standard prices apply 

Outside 10 miles of BA7 mileage applies
